PRIVACY POLICY · AUGUST 6, 2026
Privacy, in plain language.
JobSearchOS is a job-search organization and discovery app for Apple platforms. This policy explains how the App Store edition handles information.
Information you provide
JobSearchOS may process search criteria, job sources, opportunities, application stages, tasks, contacts, notes, document metadata, notification preferences, and content you choose for AI-assisted features. Some workspace information is stored locally using Apple platform storage. When you sign in, supported workspace records and service settings are also associated with your account and synchronized through the JobSearchOS backend.
Accounts and authentication
Account features may use Sign in with Apple, Google, Microsoft, or a secure email link. The authentication provider and JobSearchOS backend process identifiers needed to create and maintain your account, such as a provider user identifier and email address. JobSearchOS does not receive your provider password.
Search, sync, and notifications
Signed-in features use Supabase-hosted services for workspace synchronization, scheduled and manual searches, normalized job matches, notification preferences, device registration, and service operation. Search criteria and enabled job sources are sent when you request or schedule a search. Apple Push Notification service processes device tokens and notification delivery.
Optional email connections
You may optionally connect Gmail or Outlook with read-only permission so JobSearchOS can identify job alerts and application updates. The service cannot send, delete, or archive email. Connection credentials are stored by the backend and used only for the connected feature. You can disconnect an inbox in Settings.
Optional AI features
AI insights and resume tailoring are optional and require feature-specific consent. When you initiate a hosted AI request, relevant job, criteria, prompt, or document context is sent through the JobSearchOS backend to the configured AI provider. The current hosted provider may include OpenAI. Contact details are reduced where supported before transmission, and the developer does not use your job descriptions, resumes, or generated materials to train models.
You can revoke AI consent, adjust retention, and export AI insights from Privacy & AI settings.
Purchases and device integrity
Apple processes App Store purchases. JobSearchOS receives transaction and entitlement information needed to verify purchases, maintain AI-credit balances, prevent duplicate grants, and handle refunds or revocations. App Attest may provide device-integrity assertions used to protect backend services from abuse.
Diagnostics and analytics
JobSearchOS does not include advertising SDKs and does not perform cross-app tracking. The service may retain privacy-limited operational events needed for security, fraud prevention, reliability, purchase verification, and troubleshooting. These events are designed not to include resumes, notes, prompts, message bodies, or full job-search content.
Sharing and service providers
Information is shared only as needed to operate features you request, including with Apple, authentication providers, Supabase, connected mail providers, job-data providers, and configured AI providers. Information may also be disclosed when required by law or to protect users and the service. JobSearchOS does not sell personal information.
Retention and deletion
Local information remains on your device until you delete it in the app or remove the app and its data. Backend records are retained while your account or the applicable feature is active, subject to operational backup, security, transaction, and legal requirements. Connected-mail and AI retention choices can be adjusted in Settings. You can export supported workspace data and request account deletion from the app.
Your choices
Instructions for controlling AI use, email connections, notifications, exports, and deletion are available on the JobSearchOS Privacy Choices page.
